Professor of Surgery | Principal Investigator
Dr. Ji leads a multidisciplinary research team focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of pulmonary diseases, with particular emphasis on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), COVID-19, and sarcoidosis. His research employs cutting-edge approaches including multi-omics analysis, humanized mouse models, and iPSC-derived organoids to identify new therapeutic targets and biomarkers.

Research Assistant Professor
Li’s academic background and research interests lie at the intersection of data science and biomedicine, with a focus on developing novel algorithms and tools to leverage heterogeneous biomedical data to address complex biological and clinical challenges, ultimately improving patient care and clinical practice.
PhD Student - Computer Science
Arslan is a PhD student in Computer Science at Loyola University Chicago, where he focuses on using AI to tackle real-world challenges. His work explores how artificial intelligence can help detect cyberbullying, fight misinformation, improve cybersecurity, and support biomedical research. He loves working on projects that bring together people from different fields and make a positive impact.
When he's not coding or reading research papers, you'll probably find him lost in a good book, hiking somewhere peaceful, or searching for the next great restaurant to try.
